Dell PowerEdge R470 Key Features

Key Features
Intelligent infrastructure optimization with OpenManage and iDRAC10
The Dell EMC OpenManage systems management portfolio provides centralized and remote server management capabilities, allowing IT teams to automate updates, monitor performance, and reduce human error. Integration with Redfish APIs, telemetry streaming, and tools like iDRAC10 make it easy to scale operations across large deployments.
With iDRAC Direct and Quick Sync 2 wireless module, administrators can configure, deploy, and manage PowerEdge R470 servers without disrupting ongoing workloads—saving time and reducing complexity.
OpenManage Enterprise, SupportAssist, and Update Manager simplify the ongoing maintenance lifecycle, offering proactive alerts, inventory tracking, and patch automation from a unified interface.
High-efficiency single-socket compute in an ultra-dense 1U footprint
The PowerEdge R470 delivers high core counts and memory bandwidth with a single Intel® Xeon® 6 processor—up to 144 E-cores or 86 P-cores—making it ideal for cost-sensitive, high-performance workloads such as edge compute, web scale, or scale-out databases.
With support for PCIe Gen5, up to 4 single-width GPU accelerators, and dense NVMe storage, this 1U server offers performance comparable to traditional dual-socket setups with lower power consumption and licensing costs.
The server supports up to 1TB (w/ E-core) or 4TB (w/ P-core) of DDR5 ECC memory and a range of storage options including 8 x 2.5" NVMe, SAS, or SATA drives, enabling flexible deployment from edge to data center.
Silicon-layer security featuring Intel hardware-enforced protection
The PowerEdge R470 includes a silicon root of trust, secure boot, and system lockdown features to ensure firmware integrity and prevent unauthorized configuration changes.
Intel® Total Memory Encryption (TME) and Software Guard Extensions (SGX) protect data-in-use and in-memory workloads from internal and external threats.
System Erase allows for full storage and memory sanitization, ensuring secure retirement or repurposing of the server.
