Designed to optimize efficiency for both traditional and emerging enterprise workloads, it excels in High-Performance Computing (HPC), data analytics, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and dense virtualization layers. Powered by up to two 4th Generation AMD EPYC™ processors, this platform delivers up to 128 cores per socket—yielding a massive system total of up to 256 physical cores—to unlock unparalleled computational density and exceptional virtual machine host capacity.
To eliminate data bottlenecks, the server supports advanced DDR5 memory operating at speeds up to 4800 MT/s across 24 DIMM slots for up to 6TB of total memory capacity, paired with up to 8x PCIe Gen5 expansion slots for rapid data transport. Acceleration configurations are highly flexible, accommodating up to 6x single-wide full-length or 2x double-wide full-length GPUs to accelerate demanding graphics or AI workloads. This exceptional performance density is sustained through an innovative thermal architecture that supports standard high-performance air cooling or optional Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC), ensuring solid hardware reliability even under continuous, extreme compute loads.

Every PowerEdge server is built on a foundation of cyber-resilient architecture, embedding strict security measures into every phase of the hardware lifecycle from initial deployment to final decommissioning. Platform-level protections leverage native AMD silicon technologies, including AMD Secure Memory Encryption (SME) and Secure Encrypted Virtualization (SEV), to guarantee data confidentiality and safely isolate multi-tenant virtual workloads at the hardware layer. Operations are securely anchored from power-on by a cryptographically trusted secure boot process and an unalterable hardware Silicon Root of Trust.
System firmware integrity is strictly enforced via digitally signed packages that eliminate the risk of unauthorized modifications, malware injections, or configuration tampering. Proactive defensive tools like real-time drift detection and iDRAC9 system lockdown instantly intercept and report unauthorized setting changes before they can escalate. Finally, when the system is ready to be retired or repurposed, the native System Erase utility allows administrators to safely, completely, and rapidly purge all critical data from internal storage media and system memory to ensure absolute privacy.
